Quiet Waters Show             September 13 thru October 20, 2007

 
 

PGAA RULES FOR EXHIBITION AT QUIET WATERS SEPT. 2007

The following are the rules for exhibiting in the Quiet Waters Show in September:
1.   Hanging date is Wed. Sept. 12, 2007 at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis. Art pickup is Mon. Oct. 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM.

2.   Participation Fee will be $30. for anyone hanging in this show regardless of the number of paintings you hang. This fee is to go towards the fee for the use of the gallery, and the cost of the reception. We must provide a reception in accordance with Quiet Waters Rules. Reception date is Sun. September l6, from 2 to 4 PM.

3.   Anyone interested in hanging must fill out the application to hang and submit it with a check for $30.00 no later than the May 22nd meeting. This fee is non-refundable and can either be mailed to Nancy Winchester at 8722 Teresa Lane, Laurel, Md. 20723 or turned in at the May meeting. No Exceptions.

4.   All painting must be appropriately framed and matted with hanging wire on the back.

5.   Quiet Waters takes a 25% commission so adjust your prices to reflect this.

6.   Once we have a list with the names and checks of the people who will be hanging we will then be able to determine the limit of paintings per member that can be hung. Quiet Waters Gallery will hold up to 75 paintings. Our reference to "paintings" encompasses, "photography, sculpture and/or glass," as well as paintings.

7.   No nudes can be hung, nor any exhibit which would be deemed inappropriate for family nature of the park.

8.   Two dimensional work must   a. Not exceed 72" in any one direction;   b. Be under glass or Plexiglas (Plexiglas is required if over 24 x 30);   c. Be securely and suitably framed – no clip frames, or sawtooth hangers please and   d. All exhibits must be dry.

9.   An identification card with the following information must be affixed to the non-viewing side of each work:   a. The artist's name, address and telephone number plus   b. Title of work, medium, and selling price.

Please print, then fill out the application form below and return with your check to Nancy Winchester, 8722 Teresa Lane, Laurel, Md. 20723 no later then May 22. This can also be turned in at the May meeting on May 22.

Art drop off.     Art drop off is on Monday January 29th, 2007 from 9 AM to 10 AM.   Artwork is limited to 2 pieces per artist.   Artwork should have the following information on the back: Artist's Name, Title of Artwork, Price and Medium.   There is no commission to WSSC for art sales; PGAA commission is 10%.   Nancy Winchester is the PGAA show chairperson; Mary Stewart is the WSSC show coordinator.   Nancy will give additional show details at our next PGAA meeting on January 23rd.

Art pick up.     Art pick up is on Wednesday February 28th, 2007 from 9 AM to 10 AM.

Participating Artists.     The following artists are participating in this show: Robert Ciesielski, David Gleason, Kathy Holzer, Allita Irby, Gina Reininger, Zenobia Rickford, Louise Robinson, James Searl, Elnora Wilson and Nancy Winchester.
