Lillian Tanner.      Attended art classes at the Philadelphia Academy of the Fine Arts and Northeastern Christian Junior College. Recently studied watercolor in private classes and workshops in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Has received numerous awards in local group exhibitions, including Best of Show, Prince George's Artists Association, Spring, 2000 Exhibit. Has exhibited at The Bowie Performing Arts Center; Mt. Airy Mansion, Upper Marlboro; Studio Frameworks, Crofton; Bowie City Hall; Quiet Waters Gallery, Annapolis; Kentland Mansion, Gaithersburg; Montpelier Cultural Arts Center, Laurel; 49 West, Annapolis. Solo shows at The Gallery at Greenbelt Library and WSSC Corporate Gallery, Laurel. I love the transparency of watercolor. It is a constant challenge, with which I try to evoke an emotion, and capture my impression of the natural beauty surrounding us. |
