Regina Novotny has been interested in the art of color for many years, both the color of sound in music and visual color in textiles. For the past thirty years, while pursuing a career in the telecommunications field, she has found expression for this interest in the textile arts as a spinner and weaver. Her work has been sold through the Chesapeake Weavers at the Quiet Waters Park Craft Festival in Annapolis and as commissioned pieces.

Regina's interest in color interaction was developed during her years as a weaver and led to further exploration of color theory. She began painting as a student at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts working in charcoal and water color. For the past four years, Regina has been a student of James Masters of Mitchellville. She is now working in watercolor, oils and pastels. Primarily a realist, she has also produced some abstract works. Regina's art is an expression of the joy she finds in life.
