Allita lrby grew up in Oklahoma where she appreciated the Native American art and dance of the Great Plains Indians. From an early age, she learned floral arranging from her mother, Mary Price lrby. In 1995, she found her Native American heritage through relatives in Tennessee.

Allita participated in the development of the Native American People of Verizon (NAPV) employee resource group since 2002. She has served as National Secretary and Local Chapter Vice President. Through her involvement with the NAPV association, Allita learned about 'friendship bundles'.

Through her creativity and love of nature, Allita designed dried botanical friendship bundles with dream catchers attached as "thank you gifts", in 2004. She has developed her unique style using natural materials, flowers and feathers in each bundle. Friendship bundles may be given at anytime such as hostess gifts for holiday gatherings and feasts. They have been used as presentations for NAPV conferences (Washington, DC; August 2005; Hollywood, FL; August 2006).

Allita's work has been on display and sold at the Lake of the Woods Visual Arts Council Show (Locust Grove, VA; October 2005), Colour Art Gallery & Studio (Silver Spring, MD; December 2005), and the Blair Mill Arts Alley Festival (Silver Spring, MD; April 2006), the Prince George's County Fair-First Place Blue Ribbon for Nature Craft, Open Class (Upper Marlboro, MD; September 2006), Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission 'For Feathers' Art Show in the Sports & Learning Center Gallery (Landover, MD; November 2006). Her work has been juried into "Folk Art Traditions and Innovations" (Ft. Washington, MD; November 2006-January 2007).
