Timothy Edberg is a nationally acclaimed freelance nature photographer and award-winning educator. When he found himself more passionate about his camping trips and photography than his laboratory research, he decided it was time to change careers from research physicist to nature photographer. He combines his technical background with an intuitive eye to produce prizewinning images. He is equally comfortable shooting in color or black & white, and uses large format gear as well as 35 mm.

Edberg started selling his fine-art prints in 1990 and became a full-time photographer in 1995. Since 1990 his work has been exhibited in ten solo shows and dozens of juried group shows. He has exhibited in California, Iowa, Michigan, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York; his work has been represented by five galleries and agents and appears in private, university, and corporate collections across the nation and on three continents. His work has been published in Outdoor Photographer, Shutterbug, and Petersen's PHOTOgraphic, as well as in numerous other books and magazines.
