Arbedella Dillon.       I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee and went to school there. I have three brothers and two sisters, one passed. I moved to Washington, D.C. in 1969. I left after four years, moving to Maryland. I met my husband in Washington; I have one son and two grandchildren. My husband died in 1993. I have been in arts and crafts since an early stage. I was sewing at the age of seven. Marjorie Levine was teaching art at Eastman Presbyterian Church and was my inspiration to start painting. Since the age of fifty two I have been painting in oil on canvas. Three years after I started painting I joined the Prince George's Artists' Association. During my time with the Association I have won ribbons and awards in various shows. "I have been enjoying myself!" |
